Sound Doctrine is a Sydney based music blog dedicated to bringing subjectively obscure but objectively awesome Australian music to dependable, everyday folk. It was birthed into existence by Tommy Faith in March 2010 and has since grown to be the internet’s most disrespected music blog. In June 2012, Sound Doctrine was awarded Pedestrian.tv’s Best Australian Music Blog as part of an elaborate, decade long interactive art prank. At the start of 2014 Dat Mavis and Reggie Maurice joined the Sound Doctrine super friends as junior vice-deputy writers.
This isn’t a business and it sure as heck isn’t music journalism. These are the bands and songs I like. Nothing more than that.
If you’d like me to hear your tunes, send them to:
tommy[at]sounddoc[dot]net and maybe I’ll even write about it.
note: Australian music only
Very importantly, you should listen to the Sound Doctrine Official Theme Song:
‘tommy also knows how to arrange words so that they not only make sense, but they make entertainment.’ – Sam Manchester, Sydney Morning Herald.
